(Hey! You found this page anyway! Somehow, the url for this page got left of the CD liner notes. I'm glad you found it anyway!)
A song about how crazy, noisy and insane life can get. Also, about how, sometimes, even though it seems you're traveling down the completely *wrong* path, flashes of insight remind you that it's might still be OK. The big trick, it seems to me, especially for those of us who live in big cities, is to be sure we find time for Peace. Life has a way of convincing you it's unimportant and that you can just do without it. But every now and then, the craziness of life comes crashing in and you realize that you have just got to have it or die.
And then, there are even crazier times that defy explanation. Times when, even in the midst of great chaos, you can find peace washing over you. When this happens --when Peace comes, right in the midst of a time of great turmoil-- you come to understand the final irony of Peace: that you can't ever *make* it happen. It's something that surprises you, when you're not expecting it. Peace cannot be "pursued," it can only "ensue."
And when it does, the best thing to do is just say thanks.
