'Which of the voices will I choose to hear / Of the ones that fall upon my ear / The one that whispers love / Or the one that shouts of fear / Which of the voices will I choose to hear?' Eric has a little of that sweet 'Leader of the Band' quality to his easy going folk. Mainly voice and acoustic guitar, but the backing strings of this particular 'Voices' makes this track one of my favorites.

Eric's wanted to do this cd for a while. You can sorta tell that without reading the opening intro. Because here is a cd full of happy messages, motivational for life and relationships, but most importantly: for personal growth. His music says 'I'm not looking for a final victory / just want a little memory' literally. That's from 'The Sun is Gonna Show', almost a duet that slowly builds a warm nest out of the clouds in the sky. And hark. Things are breaking through as you listen and continue to listen to future songs of positive influence, like 'Mom Went Bungie Jumping' and 'I Will Sing'.

'And I will sing / For the suffering / I will sing / for the beauty / I will sing / for creation / I will not sing for duty / I will sing / for the future.' And with Mr. Folkerth's semi-smooth voice and hardly ever minor chording guitar, I believe him!
